European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (VectorNet)

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is a public health institute of the European Union (EU) responsible for strengthening Europe's defenses against infectious diseases. The ECDC provides scientific and technical support to EU member states, as well as providing expertise and advice on infectious disease threats, surveillance, and disease control. VectorNet is a project of ECDC and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) which aims to contribute to improving preparedness and response for vector-borne diseases, following a ‘One-Health’ approach.
